The Rev. Jimmie “Jim” Williams, 63, of Earth, Texas, died Sunday, April 10, 2005, at Covenant Medical Center in Lubbock.

He was born on Sept. 27, 1941, in Flagstaff, Ariz., to John Wesley and Frankie Williams.

He married Sharon L. L’Heureux on April 23, 1976. He moved to Earth, Texas from Muleshoe in 1992. He was a veteran of the United States Army. He was a member of the Church of Nazarenene in Clovis and was a licesed minister of the West Texas district of the Nazarene Church. Family members said he enjoyed preaching and graduated from Nazaren Bible College in 1981. He pastored churches in Colorado and Texas, and served as a supply pastor in the New Mexico district for many years.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and a brother, Johnnie Williams.

Survivors include his wife; two sons, John Williams, and James Williams (and wife, Sara), all of Lubbock; a daughter, April Williams of Canyon, Texas; two sisters, Faye Houston of Springlake, Texas and Phyllis Jolly of Levelland, Texas; and four aunts, Alma Burton, Ruby Volk, Jean Craig, and Betty Boykin.

The Rev. Vaughn Grossman will officiate the services.

Burial will be at Muleshoe Memorial Park Cemetery.
