• The Back Porch Pickers will meet Sunday at 2 p.m. in the Community Building

• The school’s Spring Program will be Tuesday.

• May 6 is an ELS day at the school.

Church news

Bill Bowman will be delivering the sermon for the Floyd Baptist Church this Sunday. Sunday School is at 9:45 a.m. and Church Service is at 10:45 a.m.

Seniors

The senior citizens will have a policeman come out and talk about how elderly can stay safe. This will be May 9 at 7 p.m. at the senior citizens building. Refreshments will be served.

Around town

New neighbors have moved into the community. Terry and Connie Sumpter and their three children — Jessica, Sarah and Nathan — have moved into one of the homes by the school. They moved to Roosevelt County last summer from California.
