Mr. Henry “Bill” Edens, 89, of Clovis, on Friday, April 8, 2005, at Laurel Ridge Healthcare in Clovis.

He was born on Sept. 24, 1915, in Somervell County, Texas, to Henry B. and Lela V. Umphress Edens.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; Betty June Andrews-Edens; a daughter, Linda Gutierrez; and several brothers and sisters.

Family members said he loved watching Major League baseball, especially the Atlanta Braves. He was retired from Ingram Brothers Oil Co.

Survivors include two sons, Benny R. Edens of Chickasha, Okla., and Billy D. Edens of Strawn, Texas; a daughter, Patricia J. Edens-Hollan of Clovis; two brothers, Seth Edens of Glenrose, Texas, and Boyce Edens of Bosque Farms; and a sister, Grace Baker of Houston.

Burial will be at Lawn Haven Memorial Gardens in Clovis.

Memorial contributions may be made to Laurel Ridge Healthcare in Clovis.
