Butler, Mineola

Mineola Butler, 90, of Clovis, died Saturday, March 26, 2005, at Plains Regional Medical Center in Clovis.

Mrs. Butler was born July 25, 1914, in Lockney, Texas, to John and Alice Welch Lile. She married Willie Butler Sept. 16, 1936 in Levelland, Texas, and had lived in Clovis for 58 years. She was a member of Central Baptist Church for 58 years and taught Sunday school there as well. Family members said Mrs. Butler loved to spend time with her family and take care of her home.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband in 1994, two sisters and two brothers.

She is survived by a daughter, Jan (and husband Bob) Sartain of Brownwood, Texas; two sons, Vic Butler (Georgia) of Lubbock and Don Butler of Greenville, R.I.; eight grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.

Joseph Vest will officiate services.

Burial will be at Lawn Haven Memorial Gardens in Clovis.

Pallbearers will be Brent Butler, Shane Gentry, Ernie Skillern and Chris Markwood. Honorary pallbearers will be Tim Sartain, David Sartain, Wade Butler, Wade Smith, Richard Caldarone and John Cianci.
