Barbara Goddard

Services: 2 p.m. Wednesday at Wheeler Mortuary Chapel in Portales.

Barbara Mae Goddard, 66, of Chandler, Texas, died Friday, March 25, 2005, at her home.

She was born on Feb. 1, 1939, in Anson, Texas, to Holbert and Blanche Wallace Shirley.

She was a member of the Baptist Church. She was employed as a manager in the fish market at Albertson’s

She was preceded in death by a step-daughter, Jo Eileen Goddard; and a brother, Ronnie Shirley.

Survivors include her husband, Ray Goddard of Chandler, Texas; two sons, Bobby Carter of Oklahoma City and Danny Carter of Phoenix; a daughter, Dee Rutledge of Stanwood, Wash.; three step-children, Margaret Linstead, Gerald Goddard and Billie Knox, all of Portales; two brothers, Albert Shirley of Portales and Delman Shirley of Clovis; seven sisters, Alice Collins of Artesia, Arlene Griffith of Portales, Marie Hatch of Anchorage, Alaska, Wanda Reed of Clovis, Doris Brown of Chandler, Texas, Peggy Nichols of San Marcos, Texas, and Judy Clark of Del Rio, Texas; 18 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

Burial will be at Portales Cemetery.

Pallbearers are Rick, Wayne and Billy Frank Collins, Russell Roberts and Rocky Benard.

Honorary pallbearers are Walter, Carl and Dee Goddard, Chad Bullock and L.D. Clark.

Arrangements are by Wheeler Mortuary of Portales.

Georgia Rizzuti

Services: 7 p.m. Monday at Steed-Todd Chapel in Clovis.

Mrs. Georgia Carol Brock Rizzuti, 59, of Clovis, died Saturday, March 26, 2005, at Covenant Medical Center in Lubbock.

She was born on Sept. 29, 1945, in Denver, to Bob and Helen Fern Thurman.

She was a graduate of Clovis High School and Eastern New Mexico University. She married James Rizzuti in June of 2004. She taught math at Texico Junior High from 1970 to 2004.

The family will be at 472 State Road 523 in Clovis.

She was preceded in death by her mother; and a brother, Larry Lynn Thurman.

Survivors include her husband of the home; her father; a son, Eric Brock of New York; two sisters, Roberta Cameron of Tucson, Ariz., and Linda Stensvad of Clovis; a brother, Robert Thurman of Farwell; and a nephew, Scott Stensvad of Clovis.

Arrangements are by Steed-Todd Funeral Home of Clovis.

Keith Terry, 64, of Portales, died Thursday, March 24, 2005, at his home.

He was born on Nov. 19, 1940, in Portales, to Musette and Bob Terry.

He married Judy Cummingson on Aug. 27, 1958, in Farwell.

He lived his entire life in and around Portales. He was a 1959 graduate of Portales High School. They farmed for about 12 years before trading their land for the home where they now live in Portales. In 1970 he began buying farm equipment and established a custom harvesting business. In 1984 he bought a rock crusher and added a caliche business. In 1986 he quit the harvesting business, and did the caliche business full time. He retired in 1995. In 1981 he began collecting antique cars to restore and resell. He was a member of the Third and Kilgore Church of Christ, Eastern New Mexico Antique Auto Club and the Sun Country Auto Club.

He was preceded in death by his father.

Survivors include his wife; two sons, Karl Terry (and wife, Carol) of Carbondale, Colo.; Jeff Terry (Cindy) of Portales; a daughter, Kathy Mobley (Randy) of Portales; four grandchildren, Ellen and Wade Mobley and Patty and Jessie Terry; his mother; a brother, H.R. Terry (Nona Faye) of Portales; three sisters, Betty Musick (Gordon) of Lubbock, and Mildred Gates (Monroe) and Sharon Grider (Gary), all of Clovis.

David Bennett and Kenneth Broad officiated the services.

Burial was at Portales Cemetery.

Pallbearers are Harold, Mike, Danny and Terry, Stephen Cummings, Mark Robertson, Stan and Kerry Musick, and Randy Wiseman.

Honorary pallbearers are the members of the Antique Car Club and his coffee dDrinking buddies.

Arrangements were by Wheeler Mortuary of Portales.
