It appears the snow and freeze last week killed some early blooming fruit, as some were protected by other trees seem to be untouched. Some apricot trees have not bloomed out yet. Only time will tell about that and the wheat that is getting so big and beautiful.

Update

Ashley Singletary, Loretta Dicus’ granddaughter in Florida, is on medication for a faulty heart valve and got to go home.

Welcome home

To Norma Cummings on being well enough now to be at home. We have really missed her while she was gone. Pray she continues to improved following her surgery.

I haven’t heard of any new ailments in Causey, Lingo, Pep, Richland or Milnesand areas lately and the regulars say the usual is going on.

Repairs completed

I think the whole crew who were working on Mavis and Weldon Carmichael’s home for the past few months are finally done. Back in the stormy season a freak lightning strike hit their home in the Garrison area and traveled down an electrical wire to underneath the home. It filled the house full of smoke before they found it was burning under a bathroom floor. It did pretty extensive some damage as well as the fire.
