Jimmy Lee Thompson, 59, of Portales, died Monday, March 14, 2005, at Covenant Medical Center in Lubbock.
He was born Aug. 8, 1945, in Artesia to Katie and Oscar O. Thompson. He married Barbara Jean Ensign in September 1997 in Marysville, Calif.
He grew up in Artesia and Roswell. While living in Roswell he served for a short time in the National Guard. In 1963 he moved to Portales, were he worked as an auto mechanic at various garages. In 1966 he moved to California to live, and returned to Portales in 2003 to make his home with his brother, Leslie.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and a brother, Cleo David Thompson.
Survivors include his wife, two brothers, Leslie Ray and Oscar Gene Thompson, both of Portales; and a sister, Sherline Lockhart of Creston, Calif.
Burial will be at Portales Cemetery.
Arrangements are by Wheeler Mortuary of Portales.
Services: 11 a.m. Wednesday at New Hope Cemetary in Meeker, Okla.
Pauline Paschal, 89, of Meeker, Okla., died Sunday, March 13, 2005, at Meeker Nursing Home.
She was born on October 26, 1915, in Purcell, Okla., to Otis and Dovie Mae (Carty) Harridge. She was a homemaker and she was a member of the Portair Women’s Club in Clovis.
She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; two brothers; and a grandson, Curtis Dean Hardin.
Survivors include two daughters, Peggy Jane Smith of Tucumcari and Patsy Gayle McSpadden of Meeker, Okla.; two grandchildren, “Chip” Curtis Eugene Brown of Meeker, Okla., and TeLisa Dawn Gray of Burleson, Texas; nine great grandchildren, Joshua Michael Hicks, Michale Jude Statton, Susan Hope Hardin, Laura Faith Hardin, Charity Ann Hardin, Leslie Rittenhouse, TeLisa Ruth Quintana, Matthew Lee Curtis Gray and Jacob Andrew George Gray.
Burial will be at New Hope Cemetary.
Arrangements are by Walker Funeral Service of Shawnee, Okla.
