March 16 Dora News

There are some in our area enjoying fruit trees in full bloom however they are also hoping an Easter freeze don’t kill the fruit they want to enjoy later on. Some are already mowing their grass while others are trying to figure out how to get rid of so many tumbling weeds on fences and into windbreaks of trees.

Congratulations

Colleen Tollett called in from the state contest to tell that some of our Dora BPA students have qualified for the Nationals later on. They will be home by Sunday’s school report so I will give details in school news.

Commodities

These are supposed to be in for distribution on March 23, probably in the afternoon.

Spring

Monday is traditionally the first day of spring, but spring officially starts on Sunday.

Parental notice

Our students will get out this Friday, the 18th and will not return until Tuesday, March 29th after Spring break ends.

Prayer concerns

Kristi Ledbetter is back in the hospital in Las Cruces with pneumonia. She is improving and it seems everything is hindering her kidney transplant. The Travis Price’s baby son is in the hospital with bronchitis. Flu like ailments and viruses are all in the area.
