Kenneth William Howe, 83, of Clovis, died Monday, Feb. 21, 2005, at his home.

He was born on Nov. 7, 1921, in Casstown, Ohio, to William Amasa and Anna Mae Barnhart Howe.

He graduated from Springfield Ohio High School on Jan. 25, 1940. He enlisted in the U.S. Navy in 1942. He was a plank holder on the USS Antietam. After World War II he served in the Naval Air Reserves until 1961. He worked for Robbins and Myers, Inc. of Springfield and Gallipolis, Ohio, for almost 41 years as a toolmaker and a supervisor. He was a member of the Grace United Methodist Church in Gallipolis, Ohio.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two daughters, Linda Goode and Carol LaMonda.

Survivors include his wife, Dorothy Howe; six children, Al Howe (and wife, Deb) of Tyler, Texas, Barb Hale (Bob) of Cape Coral, Fla., Jerry Howe (Kathy) of Columbus, Ohio, Steve Howe of Columbus, Ohio, John Howe (Kim) of Ferndale, Wash., and David Howe (Charla) of Gallipolis, Ohio; 15 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.

Cremation has taken place.

Arrangements are by Muffley Funeral Home of Clovis.
