Mr. Douglas Ray Reid, 34, of Clovis, died Thursday, Jan. 6, 2005, at Plains Regional Medical Center in Clovis.

He was born on Oct. 30, 1970, in Clovis, to Gary Don and Zane Reid. He married Christal Gutierrez on June 17, 1994, in Clovis. Family members said he loved softball, water skiing, hunting, golfing, and he appreciated antique cars. Family members also said he enjoyed spending time playing cards with his father-in-law and his brothers-in-law and he was a loving and devoted father. He was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Jack Thompkins and Levi and Ruth Reid

Survivors include his parents; his wife; a daughter, Darian; a grandmother, Mickye Thompkins of Clovis; his In-laws, Lacho and Vina Gutierrez; three sisters-in-law, Annette Millspaugh (and husband, Eric), Bernadette Chavez (Danny) and Dolores Ingram (Blake); and a brother-in-law, Juan Gutierrez.

Father Sotero Sena will officiate the services.

Burial will be at Lawn Haven Memorial Gardens in Clovis.

Pallbearers are Terry Reid, Danny Reid, Kevin Myers, Brent Myers, David Telshaw, Bobby Lumsden, Terry Curry, Gary Howard, and Jimmy Reid.

Honorary pallbearers are The Outlaw Softball Team, Myers Electric and employees, his annual hunting group, and his brothers-in-law.

A memorial education fund for Darian Reid has been set up at the Bank of Clovis.

Arrangements are by Steed-Todd Funeral Home Clovis.
