Jose Sierra, 51
Jose Eduardo Sierra, 51, of Portales, died Friday, Dec. 31, 2004, at Covenant Medical Center in Lubbock.
He was born on Oct. 13, 1953, in Guadalupe la Rueba Durango, Mexico.
This summer he moved from Portales to Clovis to live with his daughter. He moved to Muleshoe in 1971. He was employed in agriculture on a potato farm and at the Muleshoe Co-Operative Gin.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and a brother, Ramon Sierra.
Services have been held.
Survivors include his wife, Beatrice Valdez; four sons, Reuben Mata and Jose E. Sierra Jr., both of Muleshoe, and Victor Sierra and Saul Sierra, both of Clovis; five daughters, Virginia Wall of Las Vegas, N.M., and Rose Mary Gonzales, Sabrina Sierra, Sara Sierra, and Crystal Sierra, all of Clovis; four sisters, Emilia Hernandez of Culver City, Calif., Esebea Sierra, Monserrat Sierra, and Ramona Sierra, all of Juarez, Mexico; four brothers, Eustacio Sierra of Sunland Park, Antonio Sierra and Ambersio Sierra, both of Juarez, and Ceferino Sierra of Muleshoe; five grandsons and 12 granddaughters.
Arrangements were by Ellis Funeral Home of Muleshoe.
