Samplings of recent calls received by Clovis-area law enforcement officers, according to reports:
Police were dispatched Wednesday to the 300 block of West Manana Boulevard in response to a two-car accident.
A car struck a parked truck. A resident said the truck wasn’t his, but a friend had dropped it off to show someone.
While searching the truck for proof of insurance, a marijuana pipe fell to the ground.
The owner of the vehicle could not be contacted, but the officer intended on getting a warrant on the owner for possession of drug paraphernalia.

Police responded Tuesday to the 200 block of Mitchell Street in reference to a stolen firearm.
The complainant said his .45-caliber weapon had been taken from his truck.
He also said the keys to the vehicle were kept inside his business, and all his employees had access to them.
The only thing missing from the truck was the gun, which was valued at $400.

Police were dispatched Tuesday to the 1900 block of East Brady Avenue in reference to a theft in progress.
The complainant said a woman had been visiting with him.
He went to the refrigerator and when he returned to the room where the female subject was, he saw that his handgun was missing.
He went outside and told the woman to return his gun. She said she didn’t have it and walked away hurriedly.
The man provided suspect information on the woman.

Police responded Tuesday to the 1400 block of North Main Street in reference to a criminal damage.
The complainant pointed to a soda machine that was damaged by vandals.
The dollar changer was pried open and broken loose but not removed from the machine.
