• Seniors meet Thursday night for games and friendship.
• The Back Porch Pickers meet this Sunday at 2 p.m. in the Community Building. This is open to everyone in the community and surrounding area that have any interest playing or listening to music. This will be the last get together until the Jamboree is over in March, they will not meet again until April 17 of next year.
Title game today
The Floyd Broncos will play Melrose for the six-man state championship. The game was postponed on Saturday due to inclement weather. It will be played today at 1 p.m. at Floyd. The game will be broadcast live on KSEL 95.3 by Kevin Robbins and Bobby Wheeler.
Commodities will be given out at the Bethel Baptist Church. Call Adrella Evans at 356-9042 for information.
Thanksgiving holidays for Floyd Schools will be Nov 24-28. School will resume on Nov. 29.
The Village Office reports that they have recently been awarded a grant from FEMA (Federal Emergency Management Agency) for a new defib. unit for the EMS department. This will be a lifesaving tool for our community. They have also received $2,500 for NOMEX jumpsuits for the fire fighters, and $1,000 from New Mexico Clean and Beautiful to do some landscaping work around Floyd.
