Joan Elizabeth Bowers, 69, of Clovis, died Thursday, Oct. 7, 2004, at Covenant Medical Center in Lubbock.
She was born on Oct. 18, 1934, in Charlotte, Mich., to Ruth and Donald Machin.
She was a resident of Clovis from 1974 to 1979. She resided in Bernalillo until 1998 when she returned to Clovis. She worked for her daughter and son-in-law at Special T’s Screen Printing and Embroidery. She was a member of the West 21st Street Church of Christ in Clovis.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and her husband, Norman E. Bowers.
Survivors include a son, Brian Bowers of Edgewood; a daughter, Diane (and husband, Lynn) Newberry of Clovis; three grandchildren, Kelly and Amy McKillip of Clovis and Alexis Bowers of Edgewood; and a brother, James Machin of Fowlerville, Mich.
