Delbert J. Holloway, 72, of Wray, Colo., died Friday, Aug. 27, 2004.

He was born on Aug. 18, 1932, to Willie Frank “Bill” and Vera McDaniel Holloway.

He married JoAnn Fulghan in February of 1950, in Clovis. He married Barbara Mears in May of 1969 and Gladys Holloway on April 28, 1989, in Wray, Colo.

He was preceded in death by his father, Bill Holloway; his best friend, Jack Alberta; a brother, Jesse Holloway; his father and mother-in-law, Dick and Anna Wheaton; two sisters-in-law, Lois Williams and Elizabeth Cobb; and two brothers-in-law, Cotton Wheaton and Jack Henderson.

Survivors include his mother, Vera Holloway; his best friend, Dick Amos (and wife, Lynne); his wife, Gladys; six children, Brenda McGregor (Doug), Brian Mears (Connie), Melanie Stevens (Ronn), Todd Mears (Katja), Lisa Spelts (Leon) and Abbi Garcia (Paul); 10 grandchildren, Jason McGregor (Lori), Jay and Brian Mears, Chance and Kiley Stevens, Zach and Zoe Mears, Briann and Kortnee Spelts and Austin Del Garcia; a great-grandchild, Avery Douglas McGregor; a brother, Bob Holloway (Kaye); two sisters-in-law, Barbara Holloway and JoAnn Henderson; a brother-in-law, Lee Cobb; and numerous nieces and nephews.

The Rev. Steve Wynkoop officiated the services.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Delbert Holloway Memorial Fund, c/o First Pioneer National Bank in Wray, Colo.
