William H. “Willie” Dannheim, 87, of Farwell, died Saturday, Oct. 9, 2004, at Covenant Medical Center in Lubbock.

He was born on May 6, 1917, in Vernon, Texas, to George and Ida Dannheim.

He moved to Farwell in 1940 from Plainview, Texas. He farmed in Plainview and Farwell and worked with the Lutheran Braille Workers of America. He was a charter member of Immanuel Lutheran and served on the board of elders. He also served as municipal judge in Farwell.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and a brother, Herman Dannheim.

Survivors include his wife, Lorine Dannheim; three sons, William H. Dannheim Jr. (and wife, Caroline) of Yardley, Penn., Charles Dannheim of Amarillo and David Dannheim (Vicki) of Lubbock; two daughters, Evon Levisee (Austin) of Little Rock, Ark., and Linda Fipps (Frank) of McCloud, Okla.; 12 grandchildren; and 32 great-grandchildren.

The Rev. Scott Blazek will officiate the services.

Burial will be at Sunset Terrace Memorial Cemetery in Farwell.

Pallbearers are his grandsons, Charles Jr., Lucas, Peter and David Jr. Dannheim, Kevin, Kevin Dale and Chris Fipps and James Levisee.

Honorary pallbearers are Frank Bean, Charlie Abel, Tommy Downing and Steve Summers.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Lutheran Braille Workers of America or to the Immanuel Lutheran Church Building Fund.
