The Elida Branding Iron Cafe will be offering hamburgers at half price on Friday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Stop by and share the good food and fellowship.
Billy Bob and Jerry Ann Harris will be celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary Saturday at 2 p.m. at the Logan Civic Center. All are invited to come and share this time together. There is a money tree at Dixon Oil.
Gary and Brandy Racins, Justin Hines and Vanita Chenualt have recently received their EMT licenses and are now volunteers on the Elida Fire and Rescue team. They make a total of 11 members now serving Elida and the area.
On Thursday all teams will play Ft. Sumner there at 4:30 p.m. On Tuesday, all teams will play Melrose there at 4:30 p.m. On Oct. 14, all teams will play Floyd there at 4:30 p.m.
Amber Griffin and Shalie Anthony recently were part of the All-Tournament team at the Capitan tournament.
The men’s breakfast will be at the Baptist Church Saturday at 7 a.m.
There is a continuing ladies bible study for the ladies at the Baptist church each Monday night at 6 p.m.
Eloise Creighton recently had surgery on her hip and is now recovering at home.
Tommy McGee is reported as not doing too well and is still in rehab.
Others for your prayer list are: The Graves’ families, Norman Jordan, those in area nursing homes, our overseas personnel and the leaders of our governments.
The Police Chief reports they will be holding a DWI check point in and around Elida sometime during October.
