Rose Hill Ranch
There is usually an annual Rose Hill Ranch Gospel Meeting in the Milnesand area, however, due to the extended dry weather they have not had it for the past two years. So, since the Lord has blessed us with good rains and things are so green there should be no danger of a grass fire.
Now for the details: On Saturday at 5 p.m. the gathering will kick off with food for all, possible hamburgers, I’m told. There will also be gospel and country gospel singing, country preaching and worship thanking God for all His blessings this year. The place is on the Rose Hill Ranch off RR33 to the east of 206 Highway by Milnesand. There will be signs to follow.
Everyone is invited to come and be sure to bring your own chairs and wraps. See you there.
Out of hospital
The Milnesand Baptist pastor, Brad Morgan, was out of the hospital and able to be there to preach Sunday.
To the family of Bill Ward of Portales who died Sept. 2 of a heart attack at the family home. He was the youngest brother of Nancy Beggs of Pep-Milnesand. We pray God comforts each of them in their sorrow.
Also to the family of Frances Van Winkle Ussery, formerly of Rogers. She was raise and graduated from Rogers before marrying John Ussery in “54.” They now live in Roswell but she has many relatives still in our area and Portales. May God be near each of you at this time.
Philippians 2:13 says God works through each of us. I’m sure thankful, otherwise I couldn’t keep on going.
