The couple will exchange vows at 6 p.m. on Dec. 18, 2004, at First United Methodist Church in Clovis.

The reception will be at the Chaparall Country Club.

The bride-elect is a 2001 graduate of Clovis High School.

She is employed part-time at Roden Smith and is a senior at Eastern New Mexico University.

The prospective groom is a 2000 graduate of Cibola High School in Albuquerque.

He is employed part-time at Dent and Co. and will graduate from Eastern New Mexcio University in December.

Baldwin-Pitcock

David Baldwin of Friona, Texas, and Lawrence and Nelda Sours of Clovis, announce the engagement and approaching marriage of their daughter, Nichole Christine Baldwin of Clovis, to Robert E. Pitcock Jr. of Clovis, son of Robert E. and Willie Pitcock of Bixby, Okla.

The couple will exchange vows at 2 p.m. on Sept. 25, 2004, at St. Francis of Assisi Base Chapel, on Cannon Air Force Base in Clovis.

The reception will follow the ceremony at The Landing, also on Cannon Air Force Base in Clovis.

The bride-elect is a 2002 graduate of Eastern New Mexico University.

She is employed by ENMR-Plateau.

The prospective groom is a 1997 graduate of Cookeville High School in Cookeville, Tenn.

He is employed by the United States Air Force.

Snipes

Bob and Betty Snipes of Clovis celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on Aug. 22, 2004.

The couple was married on Aug. 22, 1954, in Clovis.

They have three children, Sheri Johnston (and husband, Ben) of Peoria, Ill., Sheila Cagle (Rusty) of Lubbock, and Scotty Snipes (Diana) of Savannah, Ga.; and five grandchildren, Taylor, Katherine and Christine Johnston, and Riley and Colt Cagle.

The celebration took place at an earlier date with family in Beaver Creek, Colo.

They are retired and are former owners of Bob’s Mr. Shop, Lady You-Nique, and You-Nique Boutique.

Walker

Gene and Phyllis Walker celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on Aug. 22, 2004, at the Gaylord Texan Resort in Grapevine, Texas.

They celebrated with their children, Mike, Shanna, Shayne, and Molly Walker of Clovis, and Jeff, Debbie, Tori, and Travis Walker of Dallas. They also have a daughter, Laura Hampton, of Dallas.

The couple was married on Aug. 22, 1954.

He is a graduate of Baylor University in Waco, Texas, and Baylor College of Dentistry, in Dallas. He is a general dentist in Clovis.

She attended Eastern New Mexico University and Baylor University.

Jester

George (Buck) and Viola (Polly) Jester of Clovis will celebrate their 65th wedding anniversary on Sept. 2, 2004.

The couple was married on Sept. 2, 1939 in Pleasant Hill.

They have four children, Janice Gossett (and husband, Leroy) of Temple, Texas, Melvin Jester (Virginia) of Victoria, Texas, James Jester (Linda) of Amarilo, and Sharon Cole (Ron) of Newnan, Ga.; eight grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and three great-great grandchildren.

Baca and Gaona

Roseanne Baca and Samuel Luis Gaona, both of Plano, Texas, were joined in marriage on June 19, 2004, at Our Lady of Guadalupe in Clovis.

The Rev. Sotero performed the double-ring ceremony.

The bride is the daughter of Bernard and Cathy Baca of Clovis.

She is the granddaughter of Esther Rodriguez and the late Manuel Hernandez, and Beatrice Baca and the late Andronico Baca, all of Clovis.

The bridegroom is the son of Roman Gaona of Mesquite, Texas, and Ernie Lozano of Little Elm, Texas.

He is the grandson of Clara Gonzalez of Plainview, Texas, Rosa Gaona of Mesquite, Texas, Joe Lozano of Oklahoma, and Maria Lozano of Amarillo.

Albert Cordova (and wife, Angie), Terry Irwin (Angela), David Durand (Heather), Charles Blair (Yvonne), and Larry Campos (Sonia) were special godparents.

Andrea Baca, the bride’s sister, was the maid of honor.

Stephanie, Apollonia, and Jeanette Baca, Melissa Rubio, and Yolanda Perez were bridesmaids.

Renee Warnebe was junior bridesmaid.

Daniel Logan was the best man.

Eric Baca, Gaberial Montez, Chris Ghorboni, Joey Rhodes, and Gilbert Baca were groomsmen.

Andronico Roybal was junior groomsman.

Ernest Baca and Gilbert Baca, uncles of the bride, were ushers.

The couple will reside in Plano, Texas.
