Floyd Back Porch Pickers

The Back Porch Pickers will meet this Sunday at 2 p.m. in the Community Building. They will not meet the first Sunday in September due to the Labor Day weekend.

From the village office

Toni Whitecotton reports that the water project is moving along nicely. The tank people should be here next week to begin building the new water tank.

Also the new ambulance has been ordered and should be here mid-October.

4-H booth

Be sure to check out the Floyd 4-H booth at the fair! Good luck to all the contestants in this year’s fair.

Around Town

My family and I have recently returned from a trip to Atlanta, Ga., where we visited with my family. We stayed at my dad’s for a couple of days, then at my mom’s for a few more. We got to go to an Atlanta Braves game, and enjoyed the coolest August on record there. We made very good time and were able to drive out there in two days, and two days back.
