Upcoming Events

• The Floyd Back Porch Pickers will meet Sunday at 2 p.m. in the Community Building.

• 4-H will meet Monday at 7 p.m. in the Community Building.

• The Floyd Methodist Church will be holding a covered dish lunch on Aug. 22, after its 9 a.m. service.

Floyd School

School Supply lists are now at Wal-Mart. You may bring your supplies to school at the pre-registration on Wednesday. Pre-registration is required for all students, PreK-12. This is for students and parents to meet teachers, fill out paperwork and turn in school supplies. Buses will not run this day, but will for the first official day of school on Thursday.

Little League All-Stars

Four players on the Roosevelt County All-Stars team came from Floyd. Ryan Schmidt and Caleb Martin played on the 9-10 year old team, and Chet Chenault and Blake Martin were on the 11-12 year old team. Both teams made it to the State Tournament.
