Mr. Benjamin Cordova, 76, of Clovis died Saturday, July 17, 2004, at Plains Regional Medical Center in Clovis.

He was born June 27, 1928, in Sombrio to Carlos and Estefanita Baca Cordova. He married Guadalupe Montano on September 27, 1948, in Greeley, Colo.

He worked for the Santa Fe Railroad in the late 1940s and was a farm laborer. He was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church.

He is survived by his wife, Guadalupe Cordova of Clovis; sons Danny Cordova of Amarillo, Pedro “Pete” Cordova, Joe Cordova, David Cordova, Anthony Cordova and Martin Cordova, all of Clovis; daughters Virginia Ditmore, Josie Tomey and Esther Foote, all of Clovis, Mary Ulibarri of Fort Worth, Texas, Dolores Cordova of Amarillo; brothers, Carlos Cordova of Carlsbad, Fortunato Cordova and Joe Cordova, both of Portales, and John Cordova of Roswell; sisters Estefanita Baca of Portales; step-sons Ralph and Danny Ray Vasquez of Clovis, and Jimmy Vasquez of Earth, Texas; 23 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents, daughter Mary Helen Cordova, brother Esiquel Cordova and sister Rosa Salas.

Father Sotero Sena will officiate.

Burial will follow the mass at Mission Garden of Memories in Clovis.

Pallbearers will be Nathan Cordova, Ray Ditmore, Shaun Cordova, Joshua Cordova, Ben Ulibarri and Zeke Cordova.

Honorary pallbearers will be Pete Cordova Jr., Billy Tomey, Ray Ulibarri, Nick Ditmore, D.J. Cordova, and Anthony Cordova.

Memorials maybe made to the Plains Regional Medical Dialysis Center in Clovis at 2117 N. MLK Blvd.
