The 4th of July celebration will be held on the Elida Town Square on Saturday. Bring a covered dish and join your friends and neighbors as everyone is invited to come.
There will be a bible school at the Baptist Church the week of July 4th through July 7th. The July 4 meeting will be from 4-7 p.m. The other days they will meet from 9 a.m. until noon. On Wednesday evening they will have their ending program and a burger cook-out. All are invited to come and share this time with them.
Those going on mission work need our prayers. They are: Halee Best, Shalie Anthony, Kendra and Tammy Dixon, Connie Dixon and Bro. Herb Gage.
Barney Chandler has recently been visiting his son and family in Colorado. When he got home his daughters from Las Cruces and Portales came and spent some time with him. While they were here they made a trip to Texas to tend some of their families’ grave sights and other things. He reported to have had a very pleasant time.
My, hasn’t the rain been great. Our gauge showed more than two inches here in town and it was said others got more and some less.
