Services: 10 a.m. Tuesday at Pleasant Hill Cemetery

Mrs. Betty Raye Gossett, 75, of Amarillo, died Saturday, May 29, 2004 at Georgia Manor in Amarillo.

She was born on June 24, 1928 at Pleasant Hill to Faye Lawson & Alma Mae Crume Davis.

She had been a longtime Clovis resident moving to Amarillo in 1992 to be close to family. She was a member of Bell Avenue Church of Christ in Amarillo and was a former member of 11th & Sheldon Church of Christ in Clovis.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; two sisters, Gerene Martin and Fern Holt; and one brother, Burt Davis.

She is survived by One daughter, Alma Branum (and husband Mike) of Blytheville, Ark.; three sons, G. A. Gossett Jr. (and wife Sherry) of Amarillo, Gayland Gossett (Sue) of Lubbock and Virgil Gossett (Shirley) of Silverton, Texas; nine grandchildren and eight great grandchildren; four sisters, Georgia Stone of Texas, Nora Alice Davis of Hereford, Dorothy Smith of Friona and Jessie Pate of Lovington.

Van McCormick will officiate the services.

Burial will be at Pleasant Hill Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association or a charity of choice.

Arrangements are by Steed-Todd Funeral Home of Clovis.
