Police responded about 9:30 a.m. Monday to a Clovis church after its pastor reported a broken window.
The window had embedded wire to prevent it from shattering and allowing entry by unauthorized persons, and the pastor estimated replacement cost at $800.

A gun shop owner called police about 3:20 p.m. Monday to report a stolen weapon.
The owner said three young males had entered his store looking for different types of weapons.
While two of them kept the owner occupied, a third grabbed a 12-gauge Norinco Model 98 shotgun and fled the store. The owner said he believed two of the people were responsible for an earlier theft of an AK-47.
Police issued a be-on-the-lookout order for a blue Pontiac Sunfire.

About 6 p.m. Monday, police responded to Plains Regional Medical Center where a mother reported that her 4-year-old son may have been a victim of criminal sexual penetration by other boys, age 5 and 7. The mother said the children have also been making obscene gestures and comments while walking past her house.
Police spoke with the mother of the two boys accused of the incident and warned that if she could not control her children’s behavior warrants would be sought against her children. The mother of the accused boys attempted to argue with the officer, who said she should consider herself and her children warned.

A Clovis man called police about 1:30 p.m. Monday accusing another person of not paying him money he owed and saying the person had recently been driving by and flaunting a new car. The man who called police also said the man who owed him money was in the United States illegally.
A routine warrant check on the person who called police showed that he had a warrant. Further checks revealed that the warrant was for failure to appear in court on an open container citation following a 2002 roadblock in Texico. Police arrested the man and took him to the county jail on the outstanding warrant.

About 10:30 p.m. Tuesday, police responded to the area of Ninth and Beta streets regarding a fight in progress.
Police found two men yelling at the scene. A woman then arrived and tried to calm down one of the men, but a man pushed her with sufficient force to knock her into stairs on a trailer’s back porch in full view of the police. Officers arrested the man and he continued to shout obscenities after being handcuffed.
The woman who had been pushed identified herself as the man’s wife and was uncooperative with police.
Other witnesses said the family had been having a barbecue when the man became angry at other family members and began the fight.

A Clovis woman came to the police department about 9 p.m. Wednesday to report that she received a phone call telling her she had an unpaid $550 cell phone bill.
The woman said she had no cell phone but an account apparently had been opened in Houston by a man using her social security number.

Shortly after midnight Thursday, police received a report that a man with a beer bottle was asking for money near the corner of 7th and Hull streets.
Police located the man, a 39-year-old from House, and determined he was intoxicated. Officers learned that a man with a similar description had been seen at the corner of 21st and Prince saying he wanted to be run over by a motor vehicle. Police took him into protective custody for his own safety.
