Preston Louis Brasser, 61, of Clovis died Tuesday, March 23, 2004, at Plains Regional Medical Center in Clovis.

He was born on Jan. 21, 1943, in Escanaba, Mich., to Irving and Vivian Keene Brasser.

He came to Clovis in 1979. He was a retired Chief Master Sergeant from the U.S. Air Force and received numerous service awards and combat medals from service in Cambodia, Thailand and Vietnam. He worked at the Excel meat packing plant in Friona as a computer technician for the past 12 years. He was a member of the VFW-POST 3015, American Legion, and Am-Vets Post 14. Family members said he loved working on computers.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors include two daughters, Teresa Childers of Los Lunas and Rhonda Romero (and husband, Paul) of Clovis; a son, Joseph Brasser (Nancy) of San Diego; two brothers, James E. Brasser of Doniphan, Mo., and Leslie Brasser of Brookline, Ind.; two sisters, Thelma Dennis and Paula Doman, both of Yelm, Wash.; and six grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Muffley Funeral Home in Clovis.

Herbert Bergstrom will officiate the services.

Burial will be at Lawn Haven Memorial Gardens in Clovis.

Pallbearers will be Joe Brasser, Paul and Josh Romero, Wes Longo, Max Bowers and Roger Potter.

Honorary pallbearers are Brandon and Eric Childers.

Arrangements are by Muffley Funeral Home of Clovis.
