Judy Lou Pankonie, 56

Judy Lou Pankonie, 56, of Clovis, a registered nurse, died Wednesday, Feb. 25, 2004, at University Medical Center in Lubbock.

She was born on Oct. 30, 1947, in Harrison, Ark., to James C. and Dolly Baker Mills.

She had been a resident of Clovis the past year, moving from Kenosha, Wis. She was a registered nurse for more than 30 years until her illness forced her to retire. She was a member of the Christian Church and attended Central Christian Church in Clovis.

Survivors include two sons, Ray Pankonie (and wife, Angel) of Jonesboro, Tenn., and Sean Pankonie (Stephanie) of Kenosha; her parents; six grandchildren, Taylor, Morgan, Brandon, April, Aaron and Matthew; two sisters, Dyann Abarca (Jesse) of Portales and Rosalie Robinson (Bob) of Kevil, Ky.; two nephews, Jeff Young and Warren Robinson; and a niece, Teresa Mondragon.

Larry Tedrow will officiate the services.

Burial will be at Bailey County Cemetery in Muleshoe.

Pallbearers will be James C. Mills, Ray Pankonie, John Mondragon, Jesse Abarca, Clay Cooper and Shields Baker.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Central Christian Church Building Fund.

Arrangements are by Steed-Todd Funeral Home of Clovis.

Services are at 10 a.m. Saturday at Steed-Todd Chapel in Clovis.
