Letha Stephens Beach, 92, of Melrose died Friday, Feb. 13, 2004, at Parkview Nursing Center in Muleshoe.

She was born Oct. 28, 1911, in Wapanucka, Okla., to Andy and Maude Kendrick Stephens. She married John Garland Beach Aug. 9, 1931, in Lindsay, Okla.

She was a homemaker who farmed and ranched with her husband in Oklahoma before moving to Clovis in 1945.

She was a member of 16th and Pile Church of Christ in Clovis.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; seven siblings; and a great-grandson, Kolton Garrett Johnson.

Survivors include a son, Jerry Beach (and wife Vanneta) of Clovis; a daughter, Bonnie Johnson (and Wayne) of Melrose; two grandsons, Jerry Johnson (and Roxie) of Somerville, Texas, and Garry Johnson (and Shelley) of Portales; four granddaughters, Debby Johnson of Melrose, Patty Pyle (and C.C.) of Melrose, Nancy Beach of Stanford, Texas, and Jeri Ann Dewbre (and Dane) of Levelland, Texas; five great-grandsons; and seven great-granddaughters

Cecil Bunch will officiate at the service.

Burial will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Greenhill Cemetery in Lindsay.

Pallbearers will be grandsons and great-grandsons.

Honorary pallbearers are granddaughters and great-granddaughters.

Arrangements were made by Steed-Todd Funeral Home in Clovis.
