Lewis J. Wall, 85

Lewis J. Wall, 85, of Clovis, a truck driver, died Wednesday, Jan. 28, 2004, at Plains Regional Medical Center in Clovis.

He was born on Feb. 27, 1918, in Social Hill, Ark., to Levie and Myrtle Wall.

He married Sally Thomas in 1938 in Arkansas. They moved to Clovis in 1953. He worked and drove trucks for El Rancho Mills for 33 years. He also drove for Valley Rendering until he was 72 years old. Family members said his favorite pastime was reading western novels.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Henry; and a sister, Louise.

Survivors include his wife, Sally Wall; two sons, Kenneth Wall (and wife, Pam) of Alamogordo and Brent Wall of Roswell; two daughters, Elaine Higgins of Portales and Rhonda Malott (Zach) of Capitan; a brother, Bo Wall (Donna) of Cherry Valley, Calif.; three sisters, Mary Hargrove of Roseville, Calif., Emily Gloyne of Harbor City, Calif., and Gertrude Vilhaver (Dutch) of Sacramento, Calif.; six grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.

The Rev. M. Lemuel Perry will officiate the services.

Burial will be at Sunset Terrace Memorial Cemetery in Farwell.

Pallbearers will be Kory Webb, Kerre Petree, William Maupin, Gary Campbell, Torrey Hukill and Zach Malott.

Arrangements are by Steed-Todd Funeral Home of Clovis.

Services are at 2 p.m. Saturday at Steed-Todd Chapel in Clovis.

Ima Faye White, 89

Ima Faye White, 89, of Elbert, Colo., died Monday, Nov. 24, 2003.

She was born on Sept. 4, 1914, in Lubbock to Asa and Ona Acuff.

She was married Milton B. White on Aug. 6, 1935, in Portales. They lived in Clovis where they operated the White Dairy for many years. In 1947, they moved their dairy operation to Limon, Colo. They continued to farm and ranch until 1995 when they moved to Elbert, Colo., for their retirement.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and a brother, Levenon Acuff.

Survivors include six children, Darrell White (and wife, Charlotte) of Gypsum, Colo., Delle Andersen (Darrell) of Chula Vista, Calif., Linda Keller (Norman) of Colorado Springs, Colo., Kay Royston (Dewaine) of Elbert, Joel White (Sandy) of Aurora, Colo., and Dixie Artamenko (Jack) of Peyton, Colo.; 16 grandchildren, Rodney White, Tanya Scott (Jud), Renee Shields (Phil), Roger Anderson, Jeannie Stone (Craig), Deanna Nicholson (Frank), Janet Smith (James), Arlene Miller (Arthur), Betty Houston (Mark), Janell Poe (Randy), Valerie Royston, Rhonda Forsyth (Mike), Karin Royston, Stephen White, David White and DJ Artamenko; and 26 great-grandchildren.

Burial was at Elbert Cemetery in Elbert.

Arrangements were by Mountainview Mortuary of Colorado Spings.
