Annie Moses Band to perform

The Annie Moses Band from Nashville, Tenn., is coming to Clovis on Monday and Tuesday for a series of four concerts sponsored by First Christian Church of Clovis.

The teenage team of one sister and three brothers, Annie, Alex and Benjamin Wolaver, are classically-trained violinists and singers who were formerly scholarship students at the Julliard School in New York City. The team works with their parents, also accomplished musicians, who write and arrange the music and lyrics.

The band performs mostly Christian music in a variety of styles ranging from classical to country, gospel and bluegrass.

“Even if you are not a huge fan of the type of music they are playing at the time, you cannot help but be inspired by the quality and excellence with which the band performs,” said Jon Forrest, senior minister of the church.

The band will perform at the Java Loft in the Master’s Centre on the corner of 21st and Prince streets at 7 p.m. on Jan. 19. The performance will be acoustical only.

On Jan. 20, the band will perform at 8:30 a.m. in the Clovis High School Choir Room and at 2 p.m. for a general assembly at Highland Elementary School. Both performances will be acoustical only.

Later that evening, the band will hold a full concert at 7 p.m. at First Christian Church.

All concerts are free admission, but a love offering will be received for the band at the Java Loft and First Christian Church performances.
