Jack Wayne Cole, 87, of Clovis died Wednesday, Dec. 31, 2003, at Plains Regional Medical Center in Clovis.

He was born April 28, 1916, at Emberson, Texas, to Sabbath O. and Jessie V. Cole.

He was a veteran of World War II, having served in the Pacific Theater. He married Geraldine Tharp on June 29, 1940, in Paris, Texas. He was a member of the VFW and the 16th and Pile Church of Christ.

He was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers, J.G., Shelby and Ray Cole.

Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Starlett Barbara Kilmer (and husband, Gerald), and Rebbeca Fourcher, all of Clovis; two sisters, Ruth Prowse (Harold) of Powderly, Texas, and Nancy Nell Farris (Virgil) of Emberson; three grandsons, Skip Johnson, Richard Fourcher and Gerald Kilmer; and two great-grandchildren.

Jim Gammon will officiate at the service.

Burial will be at Lawn Haven Memorial Gardens in Clovis.

Pallbearers will be Skip Johnson, Richard Fourcher, Gerald Kilmer, Doug Ford, Scott Hartley and Kenneth Fourcher.

Arrangements are by Steed-Todd Funeral Home of Clovis.
