Roger Lee Morrison, 52, of Clovis, died Sunday, Oct. 5, 2003, at Plains Regional Medical Center in Clovis.

He was born on March 31, 1951, in Logan, W. Va., to Burton and Reva C. Seacrist Morrison.

He worked as a training systems technician for 20 years. He had worked as a administration specialist and communications center specialist until his retirement in 1989. He began working for the Life Saver Food Bank in 1997 and was volunteer of the day on April 1, 2003 for doing 1,456 hours of volunteer work. He was a member of Am-Vets Post 14.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Shirley Armstrong.

Survivors include a daughter, Cathy Collins of Branchland, W. Va.; a son, Kelley Morrison; two brothers, James Morrison of Channcey, W. Va., and Ernest Morrison of Plathmouth, Neb.; two sisters, Stella Corins and Vanessa Morrison, both of North Carolina; an aunt, Gaye Smoots of North Carolina; a granchild; a longtime companion, Trudy Stanley and her son, Justin Johnson, both of Clovis; and the Life Saver Food Bank family.

George Hughes will be officiate the services.

Arrangements are by Muffley Funeral Home of Clovis.
