County commission to consider loans
The Curry County Commission will consider authorizing loans for two volunteer fire departments at its regular meeting today.
The commission will consider a $102,000 loan agreement with the Field Volunteer Fire Department and a $175,000 loan agreement with the Broadview Volunteer Department.
In other business, the commission will consider designating polling places for the next year, and will consider a request to lease communications tower space by Sheriff Roger Hatcher.
Commissioners will meet at 9 a.m. in the Curry County Courthouse’s Commission Chamber.
Safety Committee meeting postponed
A Public Safety Committee meeting set for Wednesday has been postponed until 8:30 a.m. on Oct. 29, Clovis city officials said.
