Triple homicide suspect moved

A man charged with the murders of three Bailey County, Texas, people was moved to the Lamb County (Texas) Detention Center Saturday for security reasons, Bailey County Sheriff Richard Wills said Sunday.

Larry Brent Kitchens, 51, was arrested Saturday on capital murder charges in connection with the death of his ex-wife Rhonda June Kitchens, 48, Derwin Wyn Beauchamp, 43, and Vince Simnacher, 61.

Wills said Sunday crowded conditions in the Bailey County jail made moving Kitchens necessary.

“The Lamb County Detention Center is capable of housing a maximum security inmate. Normally, we could, too, but right now we’re full,” he said.

Wills said Kitchens will appear before a Bailey County grand jury on the murder charges, but no date has been set for the hearing.
