Mr. Don Rierson, 67, of Ruidoso and Ocala, Fla., a retired auto dealer, died Wednesday, Aug. 27, 2003, at his home in Ruidoso.

He was born on Aug. 13, 1936, in Clovis, to Frank and Gladys Northcutt Rierson.

He lived in Clovis until 1967 when he moved to Plainview, Texas, to start his auto dealership. He married Sharlotte on July 22, 1976, in Miami.

The family requests no food be brought to the home.

He was preceded in death by his father.

He is survived by his wife; his children, Kelly Thomason and Cordy Rierson, both of Laguna Beach, Fla., and Rodney Thomason of Ocala, Fla.; a grandchild, Zoe Rierson; his mother, Gladys Polk of Clovis; two brothers, Larry Rierson (and wife, Catherine) of Clovis and Johnny Rector (Barbara) of Fresno, Calif.; six sisters, Doris Smith (Jim) and Jean Wilmeth (Walter), all of Clovis, Sarah Lizalde (Flavio) of Chandler, Ariz., Barbara Burch (Cecil) of Melrose, Thelma Romans (Jack) of Lubbock, Mary Ingleman (Rick) of Indianapolis, Ind.; and several nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.

The Rev. Sam Kelley will officiate the services.

Burial will be at Lawn Haven Memorial Gardens in Clovis.

Pallbearers will be Danny Mitchell, Sid Turner, Jack Lancaster, D.D. Hatcher, Jeff Jacobs and Jimmy Webb.

Arrangements are by Steed-Todd Funeral Home of Clovis.
