Mr. Lynn Westbrook, 83, of Clovis, a businessman and trucker, died Tuesday, Aug. 12, 2003, at Plains Regional Medical Center in Clovis.

He was born on Feb. 19, 1920, in Melrose.

He served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He married Jesteen Robbs on July 4, 1941, in Las Vegas, Nev. He was a member of the Curry County Mounted Patrol and the Elks club. He had a career lasting 46 years as an owner/operator of Westbrook Trucking and Western Flying Service and Cattle Business.

He was preceded in death by his wife; a brother, Walter Westbrook; and a sister, Rose Gattis.

He is survived by a son, Curtis Lynn “Jeep” Westbrook Jr. (and wife, Anita) of Albuquerque; grandchildren, Curt and Alicia Westbrook, both of Albuquerque and Doyle Westbrook (Debbie) of Clovis; a great-granddaughter, Wednesday Westbrook of Clovis; a sister, Virginia Drager of Farwell; and a brother, Sam Hines Lompoc, California.

The Rev. Herbert Bergstrom will officiate the services.

Burial will be at Lawn Haven Memorial Gardens in Clovis.

Pallbearers will be Wayne Walls, Ben Littlejohn, Aaron Drager, Bobby and Randy Westbrook and Floyd Davis.

Honorary pallbearers will be the Curry County Mounted Patrol.
