Kay Francis Kronewitter, 64, of Kenosha, Wis., died Saturday, Aug. 16, 2003, at her home.

She was born on June 27, 1939, in Alaska, Mich., to Corliss E. and Alice K. Ish Crankshaw.

She graduated from Freemont High School in Michigan and attended Grand Valley State University with a degree in criminal justice and accounting. She retired as an IRS agent corporate examiner in 1995. Before moving to Kenosha she lived in Grand Rapids, Mich., Clovis, and Portland, Texas. She was a member of the Church of Christ and the Kiwanis Club. Family members said she was an avid reader and she enjoyed doing crafts and ceramics.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

She is survived by five sons, Joseph Kronewitter (and wife, Linda) of Comstock Park, Mich., Corliss Kronewitter (Nora) of Lakeland, Fla., Jeffrey Kronewitter (Candy) of Neoga, Ill., Larry Kronewitter (Nancy) of Hopkins, Mich. and Kevin (Tracy) Kronewitter of Kenosha, Wis.; 18 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

Burial will be at Chapel Hill Cemetery in Grand Rapids, Mich.
