Mrs. Helen Edna Krattiger, 78, of Clovis, a clerk, died Tuesday, June 24, 2003, at Norman Regional Hospital in Norman, Okla.

She was born Nov. 3, 1924, in St. Vrain, to Thomas and Helen Davis Miller.

She was a telephone operator, a business owner and a store clerk. She was a member of the Daughters of Nile Yucca Temple No. 74. Family members said she enjoyed a good time, had a hearty laugh and stayed very much abreast of national current affairs.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Jimmy Wayne Haile; a sister, Thava Joy Ready; and a grandson, Toby Scott Jones.

She is survived by a daughter, Joyce Jones (and husband, Delbert) of Norman; a sister, Wanda Russ (and husband, Glenn) of Fort Sumner; three brothers, Billie Ray Miller of Port Acres, Texas, Tim Miller of Denton, Texas, and Glenn Miller of Houston; a brother-in-law, Eulas Ready of Arlington, Texas; and a grandson, Bo Jones of Norman.

The family will received friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at Steed-Todd Funeral Home in Clovis.

Burial will be at Lawn Haven Memorial Gardens in Clovis.

Pallbearers will be Bobby and Glenn Russ, Bo and Rusty Jones, and Dennis and Douglas Ready.

Arrangements are by Steed-Todd Funeral Home of Clovis.
