Samplings of recent calls received by the Clovis Police Department, according to police reports:

Police took a 44-year-old Clovis man into protective custody Wednesday morning after they found him attempting to damage property at the 1000 block of Reid. The man’s sister reported he has a history of mental problems but has not been taking his medication or seeing a doctor.

Police found that an auto dealership window was broken with a blunt object sometime Wednesday. An initial check turned up no missing items.

Clovis police found a Green Chevy blazer fully engulfed in flames Thursday morning at the 1400 block of Wallace. After extinguishing the blaze, the Clovis Fire Department reported the incident appears to be a case of arson.
