Mrs. Margaret Fern Coleman, 63, of Farwell, a business owner, died Wednesday, June 25, 2003, at her home.

She was born Feb. 28, 1940, in Sundown, Texas, to Lewis and Hazel Matthews Lauhoff.

She graduated from high school in Floyd in 1959. She married Jim Coleman on April 30, 1960, in Portales. She worked for and owned City Cleaners for many years.

She was preceded in death by her husband; and a great-granddaughter.

She is survived by two sons, Ricky Coleman (and wife, Lyna) of Farwell and Troy Coleman (and wife, Beth) of Ft. Wayne, Ind.; two daughters, Diana Baxter (and husband, Jesse) of Farwell and Sandy Adams (and significant other, Forrest Reames) of Clovis; 12 grandchildren, Jami Coleman of Amarillo; Jered Coleman of Farwell, T.J., Tory and Tyler Coleman, all of Ft. Wayne, Ind., Jess Baxter of Crystal City, Texas, VaCoesha and Bryan Simpson, both of Austin, Texas, Crystal and Kelly Helton, both of Muleshoe, and Neshell Thompson and Michael Johnson, both of Farwell; a great-grandson, Lathen Helton; four sisters, Mildred Williams (and husband, Alfred) and Stella Rogers, all of Bonham, Texas, Ethel Standefer (and husband, Joe) of Floyd and Mary Wright (and husband, Carl) of Tucumcari; a brother, Buddy Lauhoff (and wife, Carolyn) of Amarillo; in-laws, Auther and Kathryn Coleman of Capitan and Betty Coleman of Portales; many nieces and nephews; and a long-time friend, Freddie Chavez.

The Rev. David Swann will officiate the services.

Cremation will take place.
