Mr. Gerald E. Johnson, 57, of Frankston, Texas, formerly of Clovis, a truck driver, died Wednesday, June 11, 2003, at his home.

He was born on Dec. 22, 1945, in Tucumcari.

He was a sergeant in the U.S. Army and a POW. He was a member of Frankston Missionary Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife, Charlene Johnson of Frankston, Texas; two sons, Gerald and Steven Johnson, both of Clovis; four daughters, Sharla Johnson of Clovis, Suzanna Johnson of Levelland, Texas, Debra Flowers of Poynor, Texas, and Darlene Burnitt of Frankston; two brothers, James Johnson of Frankston and Dennis Johnson of Houston; a sister, Kay Hamner of Lubbock; two grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Mart Edwards officiated the services.

Arrangements are by Thompson funeral Home of Jacksonville, Texas.
