McMann gets first hit

ALEXANDRIA, La. — Former Eastern New Mexico University catcher Dallas McMann collected his first professional hit Tuesday night with a two-run double in the seventh inning as the Class A Amarillo Dillas defeated Alexandria 10-1 for a split of their Central Baseball League doubleheader.

McMann, who signed last week with the Dillas, was scheduled to catch the first game of the twin bill, a 4-0 Alexandria victory.

Amarillo (11-9), tied for first place with Edinburg in the CBL’s West Division, was slated to complete its three-game series and end a six-game road trip on Wednesday night at Alexandria.
