Mr. George Zientara, 55, of Clovis, a mechanic/motorcycle fabricator, died Saturday, May 3, 2003, at his home.
He was born on Dec. 26, 1947, in Decatur, Ill., to Auguste and Marie “Linthicum” Zientara.
He moved to Clovis when he was 6 years old and worked in his dad’s body shop while not in school. He enjoyed working on cars and building three-wheel motorcycles. He enjoyed being around his life-long friend Ernie Lawson, and spent a lot of time with many other friends and motorcycle enthusiasts. He was a member of “Brothers of the Third Wheel” and attended the Golden Aspen Rally in Colorado for the past 18 years.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Tommy Lee Miles; a brother, Richard Zientara; a sister and brother-in law, Betty and Curly Gatchel.
He is survived by two daughters, Christina Johnson (and husband, Bobby) and Crystal Zientara of Clovis; a son, Matthew Zientara (and wife, Shelly) of Clovis; a stepson, Richard Bradshaw of Grand Prairie, Texas; a brother, Emmit Zientara of Springfield, Ill.; a sister, Opal Lobb of Roswell; 10 grandchildren; and a special friend, Johnna Hartsog.
The Rev. Charles Miller will officiate the services.
Cremation will take place following the service with private family burial to follow at a later date.
Pallbearers will be Jim Porter, Samuel Lawson, Karl Worm, Matthew Zientara, Bobby Johnson and Steve Ryan.
Honorary pallbearers will be Ernie Lawson and Dan Lawson.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association.
