Carter, Ina

Ina L. Carter, 82, of Clovis, a ladies wear purchasing agent, died Friday, April 25, 2003, at Farwell Convalescent Center.

She was born Aug. 26, 1920, in Conway, Mo., to William O. and Matie Stone.

She married Thomas Carter on Oct. 15, 1982, in Mesa, Ariz., and they enjoyed traveling around the country and sailed on several cruises. Family members said she was caring and loving to all the foster children she came in touch with. She was a member of the Christian church.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Survivors include her husband, Thomas, of the home; one sister, Pat (and husband, Roland) Kimball of Springfield, Mo.; a brother, Dean (and wife, Evelyn) Stone of Springfield; a son, William (and wife, Pam) Armstrong of Commerce Township, Mich.; two stepdaughters, Marge Williams of Clovis and Jayne Sargent of Phoenix; two stepsons, Kelly (and wife, Margarette) Carter of Albuquerque and Patrick (and wife, Ruth) Carter of Salem, Ore.; a grandson, Aaron Armstrong; nine step-grandchildren; and five step great-grandchildren.

No services were held

The body has been cremated.
