    The Clovis High girls soccer team did a lot of things well last season. One thing the Lady Wildcats were unable to do was make it to postseason play. Second-year coach Traci Sievers attempted to toughen up the Lady Cats' schedule this season in hopes that it will pay off at tournament selection time.     The Portales Fire Department has received approval from the city council to submit a loan for a new fire apparatus, a piece of equipment they have been needing for years, according to officials. The cost of the fire truck with the 100 foot aerial platform is a little over $850,000.
