    CLOVIS — Firefighters responded to a truck fire around 4:30 Monday morning at Diesel Doctor, a diesel and truck repair shop at 613 Industrial Park Road. Owner Lance Longley said he received a call at 4:53 a.m. that a truck was on fire in the Diesel Doctor yard and when he arrived at 5:05 a.m., the fire had been extinguished.     PORTALES — The driver of a 2016 Dodge Charger was killed early Sunday morning after the vehicle collided with a tree north of Portales, according to New Mexico State Police. A press release by NMSP Public Information Officer Ray Wilson said the incident happened around 2 a.m. The driver, heading north on U.S. 70, “left the roadway and crashed into a tree” near mile marker 427, Wilson said.
