    FARWELL — One person was treated and released from a local hospital after a Sunday night traffic accident that involved a Farwell police officer and vehicle. Parmer County Sheriff Randy Geries said Officer Alexis Cisneros was “working radar” on U.S. 60 on Sunday night when he made a u-turn in front of a vehicle he did not see. “It was 100 percent the officer’s fault,” Geries said.     CLOVIS — The city of Clovis has paid out $183,000 to settle complaints against it since Jan. 1, records show. The city has paid out 12 claims, with allegations ranging from damage caused by garbage trucks and sewer backups to traffic accidents. The information was provided in response to a public records request filed by The Eastern New Mexico News.     CLOVIS — Legal action has been presented to the city of Clovis on behalf of Gevion Lewis, who died less than two weeks after a July 4 accident in a pond at Hillcrest Park. Lewis, 13, never regained consciousness after being pulled from the pond, where he had been submerged up to 10 minutes after going under while swimming with friends.
