    CLOVIS — Public school playgrounds have become playgrounds for vandals, Clovis school officials are reporting. At least half of the Clovis Municipal Schools' elementary schools have been damaged in the past month, officials said.     CLOVIS — Jonathan Langan was surprised to find out he was a frontrunner for the Grady boys basketball coaching position, largely because he hadn’t applied. But somebody put in a good word for him, and a good interview led to his first head coaching position. The school announced the hire Wednesday.     CLOVIS — Fireworks may fly at High Plains Motorsports this Saturday. Brad Harris, director of the motor complex at Ned Houk Park is revving up for what he calls the “biggest event of the year” at the track.
