    CLOVIS — A Clovis man will serve 18 months in jail after pleading guilty to a role in the robbery of a car wash in June 2015. Isaiah Carver, 23, pleaded guilty to conspiracy to commit armed robbery, as well as failure to appear in court after being originally charged in connection with the crime.     PORTALES — More than seven weeks after a fatal car crash near Portales, New Mexico State Police have released a report identifying the victim as a 39-year-old Portales man. Kingston McGee was found dead at the scene on April 1 after his body was run over by another car, the report showed. The report did not reveal whether the victim was alive when the car ran over him.     The Curry County Road Department is scheduled to conduct maintenance on roads southeast of Clovis today and Wednesday during daytime hours. The chipseal work, funded by the state, is slated to take place on Curry Road G from Curry Road 3 to Curry Road 6, according to a Curry County news release.     The Roosevelt County Road Department is scheduled to chipseal South Roosevelt Road 6 between Kilgore and New Mexico 88, beginning Wednesday.     CLOVIS — The trial for a Clovis man accused of shooting a police officer in August begins today, with testimony expected to wrap up by noon. Anthony Baca, 35, is charged with aggravated battery upon a peace officer with a deadly weapon and assault with intent to commit a violent felony on a peace officer, as well as misdemeanor resisting, evading or obstructing an officer.
