  • Getting cows for ranch an adventure

    Audra Brown|Updated May 19, 2017

What do you need to be a rancher? Land covered in something that the livestock will eat, a well or some way to keep them in water, fences to keep them off the neighbors, a hat to put your feather in and quite importantly … cows. But since you can’t have the cows before you have a place to put them, and you usually have to pay for the place to put them with them, fin...

  • Keep God in mind when you go into the world

    Judy Brandon|Updated May 19, 2017

Graduation season is upon us. Graduation speakers, famous and non-famous alike, use phrases in their graduation speeches like “be yourself,” “go for your dreams,” “think big,” “step out of the ordinary” and “the world is within your reach.” All those phrases are true and valuable to a certain extent. • No genuine beauty is ever wasted or lost in God

    Curtis Shelburne|Updated May 19, 2017

Well, here we go again. I’m talking about firing up the lawn machines, mowing, trimming, fertilizing, weed-spraying, weed-eating, weed-picking, and the whole nine yards of yard and lawn care. Friends in lower altitudes/swamps or other areas that spend most of the year garbed in green...
